Anchor Bolt ( Foundation Bolt / Holding Down Bolt)
Foundation bolts are heavy-duty fasteners designed to be cast into or anchored into concrete to provide a secure fixing point for machinery, structural steelwork, and equipment bases. Several head forms are available — including hook, L-bend, J-bend, and plate head — each suited to different pull-out load requirements and installation methods.

Carriage bolts feature a domed, non-drive head and a square section beneath the head that embeds into the mating material to prevent rotation during tightening. This self-locking feature allows the nut to be tightened from one side without the need to hold the bolt head, making them well-suited to timber and light structural applications.

Eye bolts feature a looped head designed to accept a hook, shackle, or lifting ring, providing a secure anchor point for lifting, rigging, and lashing applications. Shoulder pattern eye bolts are designed to handle angular loads; plain shank (non-shouldered) types should only be used with a load applied axially.

Flange bolts incorporate an integral flanged washer beneath the hex head, increasing the bearing surface area and distributing clamping load without the need for a separate washer. Many variants feature a serrated flange which bites into the mating surface to provide additional resistance to loosening under vibration.

Hex bolts feature a six-sided head and a partially or fully threaded shank, designed for use with a nut or into a tapped hole. The external hex drive allows high torque application using a spanner or socket, making them one of the most widely used fasteners in general and structural engineering.

Through bolts are a fixing method rather than a distinct fastener type — typically a standard hex bolt or threaded rod passed through clearance holes in both mating components and secured with a nut (and washers) on the reverse face, requiring access to both sides of the joint.

U-bolts feature a curved shank formed into a U-shape with threads on both legs, designed to clamp around pipes, tubes, or bar sections and secure them to a mounting surface via a bearing plate and nuts. The radius of the U is matched to the outside diameter of the pipe or section being clamped.

Button head socket screws feature a low-profile domed head with an internal hexagonal drive, offering a cleaner aesthetic finish than a standard socket cap whilst retaining the convenience of Allen key assembly.

Countersunk socket screws feature a flat, tapered head with an internal hexagonal drive, designed to sit flush with or below the mating surface when installed into a countersunk hole. This eliminates any protrusion, making them the preferred choice where a smooth, snag-free surface finish is required.

Socket head cap screws feature a cylindrical head with an internal hexagonal drive, designed for applications requiring high clamping force in confined spaces where a standard spanner cannot be accommodated. The recessed Allen key drive allows fastening flush to or below the surface when used with a counterbored hole.

Socket set screws are headless fasteners with an internal hexagonal drive and a functional end form — typically cup point, flat point, cone point, or dog point — used to transmit torque or secure components against axial or rotational movement without any protruding head.
